Courage
It takes courage to love again,
When you’ve been hurt,
Just to be trapped inside,
A ditch filled with dirt

You have to have courage,
To dig yourself out,
Just to be able to scream and shout,
To find some way to let go,


To have a loving heart you can mend and hold,
Courage is what keeps a person going,
To hold on strong and just keep flowing,

To know that you’ve been hurt,
And trying so hard not to feel like dirt,
Maybe just try to lay down and rest,
Not going to feel like a stinky pest,

Just to have courage to love again,
And finally have a heart to mend
Knowing what it feels like not to be hurt
And not to be trapped inside a ditch
Filled with dirt
